IPTV Smarters is a free player app that accepts an Xtream Codes login or an M3U URL and turns it into a channel list with a programme guide and on-demand section. It is not a subscription and carries no channels of its own. If it shows “failed to authorize”, the problem is almost always the credentials or the server URL, not the app.

Choose the right login type
Login with Xtream Codes API if you have a username, password and server URL. Load Your Playlist or File/URL if you have an M3U link. Picking the wrong one is the most common first mistake.
Enter the details exactly
The server URL includes the protocol and usually a port —
http://example.com:8080. No trailing slash, no space at the end. Type it, do not let a remote autocomplete it.Wait for the first load
Two or three minutes for a large line-up. Closing the app during this is the usual reason for a half-empty list.
Set the EPG timezone

The settings to change on day one
- Hide unused groups — Settings → Stream Format / Channel groups. The list becomes navigable instead of endless.
- Hardware decoding on — Settings → Player Settings. Turn it off only if a channel gives audio with a black picture.
- Buffer low or medium — a large buffer adds delay to live sport without fixing an unstable connection.
- Auto-start off — otherwise the app launches every time the device wakes.
- Favourites — add your regular channels. It is the difference between a usable app and a chore.
Free, Pro and rebranded versions
Three things circulate under this name, and the differences matter.

Rebranded builds are legitimate — the developer licenses them — but they lock you to one provider, and they are also what a malicious repackage imitates. If you did not get it from your provider's own domain or an official store, do not install it.

When to move to something else
IPTV Smarters is a good starting point rather than a permanent answer for everyone.
- Move to TiviMate if you are on Android TV or Fire OS and watch television daily. The guide is significantly better.
- Move to Kodi if you want IPTV alongside a local film library in one interface.
- Stay where you are if it works. Changing player for its own sake is how people create problems they then have to diagnose.
