Before launch
These terms are a working draft written for this service's actual operation. Have them reviewed by a lawyer in your jurisdiction before launch, and add your registered company details and address.
Permitted use
- Private viewing within one household.
- Installing the player on any number of devices you own, streaming on one at a time.
- Watching while travelling, on your own devices.
- Household members watching in the home.
Not permitted
- Public or commercial screening — bars, restaurants, hotels, gyms, offices, waiting rooms. This needs a commercial agreement.
- Sharing, selling or publishing your credentials or playlist URL.
- Reselling access without a written reseller agreement.
- Rebroadcasting, restreaming or redistributing any content.
- Recording content for distribution to others.
- Automated or scripted access, scraping or load testing.
- Attempting to circumvent connection limits.
How we detect misuse
Connection logs show how many simultaneous streams an account is using and the broad pattern of that use. We do not monitor what you watch for any purpose other than operating the service and detecting shared credentials.
Retention for these logs is 30 days, as set out in the privacy policy.
What happens if the policy is breached
- First, we contact you. Most breaches are accidental — credentials shared with a relative, or a playlist posted while asking for help.
- Credentials are reissued where they have been exposed. This is free.
- Repeated or deliberate breaches result in suspension without refund, as set out in the refund policy.
- Commercial use on a residential plan is converted to a commercial agreement or terminated.
Questions about whether a particular use is allowed: ask us first. It is a much better conversation than the one after a suspension.
