Install a player app

Enter your login
An Xtream Codes login (username, password, server URL) brings the guide and on-demand library automatically. An M3U URL works everywhere but often needs the EPG adding separately.
Let the list and guide load
The first load pulls thousands of channels and several days of guide data. It can take two or three minutes. Leave it alone — interrupting it is the most common cause of a half-empty list.
Hide what you will never watch
Turn off the groups for countries and genres you do not want. This takes two minutes once and changes daily use more than any other setting.

Nothing loads and the app shows an error

Channels load but the guide is empty

Everything works but it stutters

Setting up a second device
The same credentials work on every device you own — install the player, enter the same details, done. What you cannot do on a single connection is stream on two screens at the same time; the second will normally interrupt the first.
A phone set up alongside the TV is worth the two minutes even if you never watch on it: when something fails, checking whether it also fails on the phone tells you immediately whether the problem is the TV, the network or the service.
